Pancakes

Back to the Basics


      Ingredients                                                  Information
  • 2 2/3 cups all-purpose flour                    Prep Time: 10 Minutes
  • 2 tbsp baking powder                             Cook Time: 20 Minutes
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar                        Total Time: 30 Minutes
  • 1 tsp salt                                                 Servings: 14-18
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 6 tbsp oil or melted butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all the dry ingredients and mix with a fork thoroughly.
  2. In a medium mixing bowl, combine all the wet ingredients and mix with a fork thoroughly.
  3. Create a crater in the center of the dry ingredients and pour wet ingredients into crater.
  4. Mix until batter is slightly clumpy (don't over-mix).
  5. Turn heat to medium or around 270 to 330⁰.
  6. Use 1/4 cup measuring cup to pour pancake batter onto griddle.
  7. Cook on each side until bubbles form on the top and/or the bottom is a golden color (about 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 minutes per side).
  8. Enjoy!!

  • Cook with bacon or sausage grease instead of cooking spray
  • Bits of cooked bacon or sausage
  • Applesauce
  • Pumpkin
  • Yogurt
  • Honey
  • Carrots
  • Pineapple
  • Buttermilk (instead of milk)
  • Oatmeal
  • Eggnog (instead of milk)
  • Maple Syrup
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Whipped Cream
  • Cranberries
  • Jam or Jelly of your favorite flavor
  • Heated Syrup (instead of cold or room temperature)
  • Warmed, sliced Apples
  • Cereal Crumbles
  • Brown Sugar
  • Avocado
  • Root Beer or Dr. Pepper
  • Chunks of Candy or Candy Bars (Reece's, snickers, etc.)
