Hello and
thank you for your interest in who I am and what I do!
My name is
Sarah DeMille. I am a wife and mother of
three. Two grown and one in high
school. A massive fan of food, video
games, crafting, and MMA. I am a
business owner, business development administrator, podcaster, producer, and
writer. I have two Bachelors of Science degrees
and a passion for learning and studying society on various levels.
Professional
I own a
business called Mountain America Concierge Services, LLC. My business is designed to provide services
that improve home and personal life.
Time management, organization, basic home maintenance, housekeeping,
window cleaning, and property checks are a few of the services MACS
offers. The company has been primarily
local and is currently working on developing a stronger online presence.
I work as
a business development administrator for the largest RV dealership in the
United States. In this position, I am a corporate
customer care specialist. I conduct
surveys, maintain communication with customers, input data, photograph units, post
various online ads, and manage social postings.
I am a
co-host on Race podcast and the editor and producer of the show. Race is a podcast about race and
ancestry. On the show, my co-host and I
discuss topics such as racism, culture, drug rates, political policies
pertaining to racial categories, and holidays celebrated around the world by
various peoples and regions. We started
the show because it seems that most of the racism in the world is based on
false information about another race or based on fear. The unknown is almost always feared. The main goals of the show are to express
that race is a social construct only useful as a categorization in certain
instances, and that fear can be transformed into appreciation with the right
information.
I research
and write a portion of the material that is discussed on Race. I also currently have two blogs the I write
for; Racial Focus and MACS Home Care.
Without divulging too much information, as this is a work in progress, I
am currently working on a book series that discusses race on many different
levels. My goal is to have the first
book finished by the end of 2020.
Educational
I
graduated with a B.S. in Political Science and a B.S. in Sociology. A political science degree has guided my
understanding of public policy and how government and politics tend to effect
societal success and/or demise. For example,
a policy may change the distribution of buses and routes. This change may make it more difficult for
children in certain areas to get to school.
A sociology degree has provided understanding of how social issues are
comprised of individual, familial, and societal factors. For example, if the bus routes were changed, like in the previous example, the families of the children may need to
weigh whether to home school or not. The
more educated people are, the better we can all assist our societies to
improve.
