Hello and thank you for your
interest in the MACS Home Management Blog!
My name is Sarah DeMille. My
company, Mountain America Concierge Services, LLC. (MACS), is designed to
provide services that make home life easier. Before owning the company, I
worked for a company that provided one service only, cleaning windows.
Through my years of working, I decided to open my own company and expand the
services available. My company offers services involving time management,
organization, basic home maintenance, housekeeping, window cleaning, property
checks and more.
In helping people with their homes,
I realized that home maintenance does not get done nearly as often as it should
in most places. I don't know if this is because people don't want to do home
maintenance, if they don’t have time, or they simply don't know how. There
are two different ways that I approach this situation. The first way is informing individuals how to
maintain their homes and what supplies they need to do so. The second is informing individuals who they
can hire if they prefer for someone else to do the manual labor, which also
saves time. Teaching others how to
maintain their homes and lives a little bit better is the main reason I decided
to start the MACS Home Management Blog.
A home is a large investment to
make. Unfortunately, most people do not know that a person should spend
anywhere from 1% to 3% of the value of their home per year in
maintenance. For a $300,000 home a person can spend anywhere from $3,000
to $9,000 on their home per year. Let's take the lower end of the
percentage for maintenance. At 1% and $3,000 annually, a person can
expect to spend about $250 per month. What these costs are, and what they
avoid in terms of damage to your home if they are not taken care of, will be
discussed further in the blog, so make sure to subscribe.
There are many topics that I would
like to cover doing this blog.
-Home maintenance
and care,
-Gardening and
yard care,
-Home tips,
tricks, and hacks,
-Cleaning hacks
and supplies,
-Time management,
-Must-have tools
of the trade,
-Organization
skills,
-Kitchen meals, management
and accessories,
-And anything else
that has to do with the home.
I hope that providing information
to others can help them avoid unwanted surprises. If there are other topics that you would like
me to cover, please let me know. My goal
is to provide useful information. I can
do that more efficiently with feedback as to what you would like to know more
about.
Be sure to also check out the other
about pages on the blog to learn more about me, MACS, or anything else that may
be of interest to you. You can always
email me with questions or comments. Lastly,
if you feel that the information in this blog may be useful to someone that you
know, please share with them. Again,
thank you for your interest. I
appreciate your time.
